FAQs and Tips
What Can I Expect on the Dogwood Fiber Trail?
Just like a yarn crawl, this nine-day celebration highlights what makes each shop unique within its community! There is a featured Grand Prize drawing, and you are automatically entered if you shop in store or online at all seven stores—plus a special stitch marker with a $25 purchase and daily prizes at each stop on your journey. Each shop will also offer its own special promotions and events.
What is a Trail Map?
Dogwood Fiber Trail Maps are brochures that will be available for download from the Dogwood Fiber Trail website starting on the first day of the Fiber Trail. Be sure to carry your Trail Map with you as you visit each shop and collect stamps along the way.
With your Trail Map, you'll have all the shop addresses and contact details at your fingertips, plus a dedicated space to track your journey with stamps from each stop.
No printer? No problem! There will a limited quantity of printed Trail Maps at each shop on the Trail.
When your adventure comes to an end, simply drop off your completed Trail Map at the last shop on your route.
Your completed Trail Map is more than just a souvenir—it’s your entry into the Grand Prize drawing!
Do I Need a Trail Map to Participate in the Dogwood Fiber Trail Event?
No, everyone is welcome to join! However, without a Trail Map, you’ll miss out on exciting prizes and special giveaways available only to those on the Trail.

Tips for Happy Crawling
The Dogwood Fiber Trail is a fun and bustling event! Each shop may have different schedules and procedures, so we appreciate your understanding!
-
Many shops close early or are closed on the Thursday, April 3, before the Trail begins to prepare for the event. Check each shop's website or call ahead before visiting.
-
The Dogwood Fiber Trail hours have been adjusted for consistency across all seven shops. During the nine-day event, each shop will be open from 10 AM to 5 PM. Please note that this may be a change from some shops' regular hours.
-
There will be more than the normal traffic in each shop during the nine day event. You may experience extended wait times.Your presence and patience are absolutely appreciated by all!
-
If you need assistance with a project, please wait until after the Fiber Trail is concluded. During the event, staff will be focused on helping as many visitors as possible and may not have time for individual, one-on-one support.
-
To keep things moving efficiently, shops will be unable to wind yarn during the nine days. This allows staff to assist more customers quickly.
-
Some shops may also set up extra registers to help reduce wait times.
-
In-store printing for Ravelry pattern purchases will not be available during The Dogwood Fiber Trail.
-
Shops may need to rearrange their spaces to better accommodate larger crowds. Seating areas, including tables, chairs, and sofas, may be temporarily unavailable during the event.
Thank you so much for your interest in the Dogwood Fiber Trail! We look forward to seeing you!
